pelan-pelan, ya?

"Pelan-Pelan" (slowly-slowly), I'm attempting to jot down some stories and thoughts while living in Kupang, Indonesia as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant and a "China man," as the locals would rather call me. The views expressed on this blog are my own and do not necessarily reflect any organizations I may be affiliated with.

Notes

Before exam week, I had to teach a lesson on listening to procedural/instructional language (i.e. first of all, secondly, next, then, after).  I decided to teach this with a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich recipe I found online.  Students listened to the instruction and completed a fill in the blank exercise while I demonstrated for comprehension.  After the language lesson, we all made our own PB&Js.  It was a huge hit!
